Bow trusses in a vertical plane behind
the tube steel mullions, combined with horizontal cables following the curve of
the wall, serve to counter both positive
and negative wind pressure on the glass lens wall.

TriPyramid also designed and supplied large steel castings which create an elegant 3-way connection detail in the “Y-braces” in the reading room.
