Hayden Planetarium, American Museum of Natural History: Glass Cube
Architect: Polshek Partnership
Structural Engineer: Weidlinger Associates

The glass box surrounding the
sphere of the planetarium is supported by TriPyramid rod and fittings with minimal visual impact.

TriPyramid worked with architect and engineer in the early design phase to engineer the elegantly detailed rods and fittings which support the massive glass walls.

The horizontal truss provides wind bracing and the vertical rods carry the weight of the glass. The structure, manufactured by TriPyramid, allows transparency even at the corners of the glass.
