Jaw Assemblies for Medium Strength Stainless Steel Rod |

Jaw assemblies, either fixed or adjustable, are one way of attaching tension rods to structure. These fittings are attached to the tension rods by cold heading the end of the rod. Adjustment is provided by the threaded bushing (nose) that is captured by the head on the rod. This bushing is free to rotate about the rod, threading into or out of the fitting to provide length adjustment. Threads are completely concealed when the fitting is properly adjusted. Fixed jaw assemblies are appropriate if no adjustment is required.
Material is typically type 304 stainless steel with a brushed finish. Other finishes such as bead blast or full polish are available, and other materials, such as type 316 stainless for particularly corrosive environments, are also available. Custom pin, gap and edge distances are readily available.
Eye assemblies are also available for medium strength rod. |

Jaw Assemblies for Medium Strength Heat Treated Threaded Rod |

|
It is not practical to head heat treated stainless steel bars, consequently fittings are attached to these rods by threading the bars. TriPyramid's threaded jaw assemblies are designed to provide length adjustment. The special lock nuts cover the threads, even in the most extended condition, to give a smooth, clean, appearance to the assembly as a whole. Threaded jaws for the heat treated stainless bars are also made of medium strength heat treated stainless steel to minimize fitting size. Standard finish is brushed. |
