Products and Technical Specifications
Rod Material
TriPyramid's high strength rod is used in applications where high strength-to-weight ratios are required, allowing rods of minimum diameter to be used. This is the material used to hold up the masts of America's Cup yachts, where low wind resistance and minimum weight are critically important. In most architectural applications, TriPyramid's medium strength rods are the most cost-effective solution. In some applications, galvanized steel tie rods and fittings will be the most cost-effective solution.

Rod Fittings
While most of TriPyramid's hardware is custom designed, there is available a series of standard jaw fittings for all rod types: high strength, medium strength, and galvanized steel. Eye assemblies are also available; call to inquire.

Railing Infill
TriPyramid's railing components are designed for use with 3/16 inch diameter medium strength rod. TriPyramid's medium strength rod can be used in place of cable for railing in-fill. Normal annealed stainless rods would kink if someone stands on the middle of a rod between stanchions, whereas TriPyramid's medium strength rod will spring back to straight once the load is removed.

Cable Fittings
TriPyramid makes a standard line of thread concealing turnbuckles for cable of all sizes. TriPyramid also has designed and manufactured a large variety of custom fittings for cable applications, including struts with integral cable clamps. TriPyramid makes a variety of cable terminations, usually designed to be swaged onto the cable-end. In the swaging process, the fitting is affixed to the cable by cold-reducing the swage shank onto the cable. The stainless steel of the fitting actually cold-flows into the interstices of the cable, forming a termination that is as strong as the cable itself.

Eye and jaw fittings for cable are available; call for details.
